Today, BAWAT A/S, Green Swan Partners, LLC, and Monstrant Viam, LLC announced the formation of a Joint Venture, Freedom Ballast, LLC (Freedom) based in Pittsburgh, PA. Freedom will deploy port-side ballast water reception services in the U.S.

The Board of Directors of Bawat Water Technologies AB (“Bawat” or the “Company”) intends to list the Company’s shares on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in Stockholm and carry out a new issue of Units (the “Offering”) in Q1 2022. The proceeds from the Offering will be used to support the global commercialisation of Bawat’s patented heat-based solution for the treatment of ballast water to reduce the environmental impact of international shipping.

Bawat, maker of the unique ballast water treatment system that uses a ship’s own waste heat to treat ballast water, has secured more than DKK 20m in equity and brought in industry heavyweights to strengthen board and management positions.

Bawat is proud to announce that applications for type approval of the Bawat Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) have been submitted to the U.S. Coast Guard and Danish Maritime Authorities, respectively. The submissions follow the successful conclusions of the land based and shipboard tests. Both test series demonstrating the outstanding robustness and efficacy of BAWAT’s BWMS.

BAWAT A/S has signed a Cooperation and Supply Agreement with BOSKALIS B.V. The Agreement covers a turn-key pilot project with option for fleet agreement retrofitting Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers with BAWAT’s Ballast Water Management System (BWMS).

The Agreement represents an important milestone for BAWAT.“Signing a contract with a renowned company as BOSKALIS is recognition of BAWAT and our unique technology”, says Kim Diederichsen, CEO BAWAT.

The pilot project covers system supply and installation of a BAWAT BWMS onboard a 7.300 DWT Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger. System installation and commissioning is ongoing and scheduled to be completed by mid-December 2017.
